Turn signal adapter cable with load resistor
Clunky and bulky motorcycle turn signals have been disappearing from the roads since the development of LED turn signals. LEDs offer numerous advantages. They are smaller, lighter, resistant to vibration and require only a fraction of the power. So that the change from conventional turn signals to LEDs succeeds, you get in the TecBike range turn signal adapter cables for many brands.
- Adapter cable for turn signals with integrated load resistor for many motorcycle brands
- Canbus resistor adjustable
- universal applicable resistors in different versions
- Eliminator to remove error messages after conversion
What is important for the turn signal conversion?
Turn signal conversion ranks high on the popularity scale for many bikers. No wonder, after all, these small and inexpensive measures produce great effect. In our TecBike range you will find everything you need for a successful conversion, from turn signals to suitable relays and resistors.
No matter which turn signal model you choose, you should consider the following specifications when selecting:
- E-approval!
- universal mounting
- usable for front/rear
- Is the delivery in pairs or pieces?
Important: In Germany mini turn signals must have an E-approval. Pay attention to the code number (11/12). These numbers tell you whether the turn signal is approved for the rear, front or both positions. Furthermore, the E-number in the circle indicates in which EU country this approval was granted.
Tips and tricks for routing and connecting the adapter cables
Where the respective load resistor is mounted does not matter. You can mount all together approximately behind the fairing of your motorcycle. To connect the new turn signals with the existing cable, you use adapter cables. And please note: Never cut off the connectors on the motorcycle's own cable. Because once gone is gone forever.
In our store you can get pre-assembled adapters for different manufacturers. They are already equipped with the correct plugs and, depending on the model, with the appropriate load resistor. With a so-called eliminator (no approval in the area of the StVZO) you can remove the error message in the display after the rear light disassembly. Are you unsure which product you need? We will be happy to advise you!
